Come learn about Geocaching--the GeoArboretum way! Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world bo adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. This annual event is always a great day of golf and camaraderie for Overland Park's business leaders, city staff and elected officials! All proceeds and benefits go directly to the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens.

Learn, Listen & Identify the Birds

Join our bird specialist as he takes you on a walk through the Arboretum sharing his wealth of knowledge about birds and how to identify them by their songs and calls. Please dress appropriately (closed toe shoes and long pants are recommended). Bug repellent and binoculars are encouraged. With your urban conditions, planting a tree and seeing it reach maturity is a rare thing. In this session we will cover general topics such as a species selection, planting and pruning to ensure you are providing all that you can for your new investment.
